Graduates of Environment, Politics, and Society have gone on to work for governments, environmental non-governmental organisations and consultancies, multi-lateral bodies, the media and think tanks, often in policy, research or communication roles. Where a specific overall percentage is required in the UK qualification, the international equivalency will be higher than that stated below. Most of our activities take place in and around Warwick, but we also host an international tour.

If your education has not been conducted in the English language, you will be expected to demonstrate evidence of an adequate level of English proficiency. Normally a minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. The Politics Society is part of the Departmental and the Political Convene of the Societies Guild. For information on upcoming activities and future events please contact the society committee. Non-students and students at other institutions should contact the SU Societies Department () for details on how to join. The Politics Society holds regular events that include inviting speakers to discuss political issues, debates between the political parties on campus, and social events. These events will be published on our Twitter, our Facebook page and on the societies event page and usually take place on a Thursday evening.

  • There is usually no formal selection process, although some modules may have prerequisites and/or other requirements, which will be specified where relevant.
  • As well as loads of great activities on campus, we offer a bunch of opportunities to get involved with politics beyond the campus.
  • This module will focus on the relationship between play, plays and playing in socially-engaged and political theatre.
  • Examples will be drawn mainly from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.
  • In addition to organising entertaining academic and social events for our members, we organise international politically focused trips.

The Environment, Politics and Society MSc programme explores the way scientific, political and cultural practices shape our understanding of the relationship between society and the environment. It is an academic rather than vocational programme with most students pursuing further education or careers in international organisations, the public sector, NGOs or charities. There are no compulsory elements of this course that entail additional costs beyond fees and living costs.
