The aim of this module is to assist students in the analysis of developments enhancing the role of operations and supply chain management, and enable them to develop and manage operational strategies to meet corporate objectives. Financial decisions and their implications are an important consideration for global business’. This module will examine a range of theoretical and practical issues surrounding financial decision making. The module specifically provides students with understanding of the key principles and concepts of marketing to allow further learning of the strategic importance of the area in the future. We believe that every young person has the right to access the career opportunities and networks in life that will enable them to succeed. We forge those networks on behalf of students, and for the benefit of Business Volunteers who learn leadership and communication skills each time they engage with the next generation.

This exposure would help inform business faculty, administrators and course designers on how to optimize distance courses in the various sub-disciplines of business to achieve the most beneficial results for business students. Graduates of the Secondary PGCE programme are highly employable and sought after by schools and colleges in London and beyond. Almost all graduates secure their first teaching post by the time they finish the PGCE programme. Graduates of the programme also have good career prospects, with many becoming Head of Department or a Head of Year within 2-5 years, often acting, in their schools, as mentors to new PGCE student teachers. Many of our graduates become senior teachers in 5-8 years of graduating, and some are now Headteachers. Others have developed their careers as subject specialist teachers and educators, both becoming lead teachers in the classroom and researching, writing and advising other teachers themselves.

In addition we have a WAO for Retailing at N5 level and have recently taken responsibility of the Dragon’s Glen WAO. You have the opportunity to achieve up to 120 credits at Masters level which can be used towards further study following the course. In this module, you’ll explore the theoretical underpinnings of education. You’ll be encouraged to engage with issues of the nature and the purpose of education, social justice and equality, and practice and policy in relation to ethical and political ideas. Throughout this module, we aim to disrupt and expand your thinking about education.
